Pocket Cases: a customer-story video format for US sales, made without a film crew
A new customer-case format for the US market: videos under 90 seconds built from the written case studies Tractian already published, ready in days and played by sales in live meetings.
01Context
In Brazil, Tractian films full customer cases on site: a crew of five or six, interviews with the people who run the plant, travel. In the US there were no filmed cases, and filming them would have cost the same and taken just as long.
What the company did have was written case studies on its website.
02Audience and goal
The audience was prospects and customers in US sales meetings. The sales team needed a case video they could play instead of opening a web page, under 90 seconds, built only from the text stories that already existed.
03Approach
- Format and scripts
- I created the format and handled the whole production. I rewrote long articles into short scripts. I used AI to brainstorm, then edited and finalized every script myself so the storytelling held up.
- Turning photos into footage
- With no client footage, I took the static photos from the website and used AI video tools to animate them into short, realistic clips.
- Animation and voice-over
- I generated the voice-over with AI and animated the whole video. The first one, The Fillo Factory, proved the concept; by the second, DHL, the animation style was much cleaner and more fluid.
- Custom versions
- When the sales team needed a direct asset for a key account, I produced a custom version for that customer.
04Result
US sales got a customer-case format they did not have before. One of the videos was used in a customer expansion meeting.
Each Pocket Case took from 3 days to 1 week, approvals included, with no crew, no travel and no equipment.
