01Context
Hidrolight wanted to share how it grew while keeping a family feel that looks after its people, and how that benefits millions of people. I told the story through an AI-like character that travels across time, from the founding to today.
02Approach
- Three periods, three styles
- The video has three sections, one per period, and the design changes as time gets closer to today: elements, fonts and the flow of the animation. The first (1986 to the 1990s) is full of texture, paper and rough shapes; the second (2008 to 2020-2021) is simpler, with harder, less detailed elements.
- Today and what comes next
- The last section shows what Hidrolight does now and what it plans: investment in technology, expansion around the world and what motivates it to keep care and quality together.
- Planning on one canvas
- I put every idea and reference on a single Milanote canvas, split by section, which made each style easier to choose. Zooming out to see the whole project also showed whether the parts worked together.
