01Context

Epson launched a campaign around a new concept for its office-tier printers. Sustainability and printers had to stay linked through the whole video.

02Approach

Recycled-paper texture
I added subtle recycled-paper textures: a few frames appear in different positions and loop through the video.
Transitions as layers
I built the transitions as layers whose movement ebbs and flows to reveal each element and scene.
Icons as small scenes
Icons play as miniature scenes synced to the voice-over, so the animation follows the narrative.

Frames and process

Illustrated trees on a ground line with the text 'Going green is a long but important process'.
A winding road lined with buildings, trees, wind turbines and solar panels.
An Epson printer connected to ink bottles and a person picking up a print.
Split view of an office printer: one side with a flower and charged battery icons, the other a plain outline with a coffee cup.
Four ink bottles beside a person at a desk and stacks of paper.
Three panels with calls to action: visit our showroom, book a virtual demonstration, ask for an optimisation report.
